Personally, I like the idea of groups. I see groups as a little community within deviantART and I like them when theyre used correctly. However, it seems like some people have put quantity in front of quality and think its just a rat race to see who can get their deviation into the most groups. Ive seen deviations submitted to 50+ groups and still only have a handful of favs and comments, so whats the point?
A groups role depends on the group itself. A lot of groups, like mine, are based on art collection. I found that simply collecting art and sending them to our watchers got a little boring and tedious after a while. I think this is the point where it turns into a rat race. The more groups your deviation is in means the more people its getting exposed to which means
